The Fire within...........

The earth is never at rest. So as these volcanoes, making news everyday.. The recent air traffic disturbance by the volcanic eruption in Ice land jeopardized the air travel to UK was not erased from the memory, when Philippines declared on high alert yesterday as threats were raised by Taal Volcano (Beware!! It’s my time to act… small but, active).

And let’s not forget the catastrophic Chile earthquake (Magnitude: 8.8 Richter scale) on 27th Feb 2010-06-10, which was induced by the volcanic activities along side Chile. Nevertheless, Volcanoes are not always unpleasant. Paricutin volcano (Figure) in Mexico is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world!!! I'm yet to see one.

What remains a major concern are emissions from these volcanic activities. The failure of Copenhagen climate summit in December 2009 blames noncooperation by some developing counties to control the anthropogenic climate change, but then what about this nature's furry????

Do you know, Mid oceanic ridge passes through the Iceland. Interesting........

The American History X

When I finished watching this master piece; I wondered, how it could be missed from my bucket list for so long. The racism use to be very interesting subject of US movies at one time and also depicting the Socio-Economic situation of 1950's USA, but this movie I guess is one best of that genre. This movie has all the contents like racism, the blacks in America, the white power and all that jazz, but the most interesting part of the movie was the relationship between two brothers, the build ups and break ups. The tale of two brothers can't get any better. But, the key take from the movie, I would say is, 'life too short to be too negative'. Increase the Peace. No one is your enemy. Sometimes, we pay a heavy price to learn and understand these simple principles (seemingly complicated) of life.

Derek, once a bright student at university how buys into a hatred game of politics, more or less same like our college politics. He has to blame the black Americans for everything and anything that happened in his life. The hatred takes the nasty form, when an bloody carnage takes the life of four black Americans. And Derek finally led up in the prison. A series of event in the prison transforms Derek from an antagonist to a complete supporter of life.Dr Bob helps him on the pretext that he'll help settle this war of hate and racism. Derek understands, he had been beguiled by the miscreant of the society and finally, gets control over the bewildering battle of hate and racism within himself. When Derek was in jail, his younger brother Danny gets into the same hatred game like him. The movie is all about, how Derek struggles to pull out his brother from that problem and what sacrifices he makes in due course of time. Incidentally, there are many movies made on racism and black Americans in 70's or before and some even remained classic in the history of Hollywood cinema, but this one is really special. But, don't go by my reviews, go find yourself. When I started watching it, I never expected it be so touchy. It actually inspired to me to write something in the form of my new blog site.

The best quote : 'Has anything you've done made your life better?'

This movie is awesome. The 'primal fear' hero Edward Norton's best ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
